I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

If they had been made out of wood then I'd be almost done!

This is incredible! This type work is out of bounds for for most of us.

Incredible...

Beyond description? Heck! That's almost beyond belief! With the man hours he put into that he could have built a real airplane.

Thanks for the URL, Luke. You're correct, Mr Park's work is beyond description.

Check out the rest of the Mustang images and his Corsair model at http://craftsmanshipmuseum.com/Park.htm This is worth a look if you appreciate a true modeling artist!

Built by a gentleman named Young C. Park. His models are made of all aluminum right down to the ammunition belts feeding rounds into one of the .50 cals! Words CANNOT do it justice.

I got bored waiting for the landing gears to dry so I thought I would tape it up and take some pics! This sheeting thing is a whole new ballgame, but so far it's coming together better than I expected it to! She's coming together slow but sure!

The elevators and rudders. Next model I'll try making ailerons also...

Poppy shows the products he uses in this posting and describes how he uses them. Note that Micro-Fill is currently on a production hold due to broken manufacturing machinery. Jet Model Mate was a reasonable substitute, but it has now been discontinued.

Thanks for the advice John! Sounds like it's time for another trip to the store for me...I've sure got my work cut out for me over the holiday weekend!

For my last four birds I have use Minwax sandable wood sealer. This is not a water soluable material. Thinner neede to clean your brush.

I was just planning on sanding the paneling, filling, then sanding again in that order. What would you all recommend sealing it with before all that?
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 996425 Nov 08 17:47
Seal, fill, sand, and seal. Economy prop looks good.
Luke War, Image # 996425 Nov 08 14:48

Another view of my first panel job attempt. Also, note the unique prop and landing gear she's sporting...I think Im onto something here!

Almost done with my first ever attempt at paneling. With a bit of sanding, some fill and a lot of luck it wont come out too shabby. Only time will tell!
