SteveM, Comment for image # 18561 | 10 Jul 10 07:48 | With all the extra stringers on the fuselage and wing I'm going to guess display. If you are willing to put in the time then planking or filling of some kind to get a solid surface is going to give you the best results. One possibility is to keep adding stringers in the remaining gaps till there is no gap big enough for a stringer. Then apply lightweight spackle from the home improvement store and sand smooth and to shape. After that you could lay on the silkspan to get a really smooth surface that the paint will adhere well too. If you want to see the results of that then peruse David Duckett's hanger, he often uses a technique like that. |
