Thanks guys. I'll call myself a "pro" when I hit 25 airplanes in my hanger like you gentlemen.

It "seams" to me that you are now a panel line pro!

Wow, that was a huge adventure for me. I'm really happy with the results. Next is the sharks mouth and L/G and drop tank.

I use a flexible "rubber" ruler which you can get at a dollar store that you can basically bend in half, or sometimes I also use painters green tape which is not very tacky which will not destroy your paint. Hope that helps.

what do you use to do panel lines over contours, julinick? i've been using a ruler or balsa, but there too stiff. i was thinking about taking the rubber off the bottom of the ruler to do them. what do you think?

Thanks guys. Your right David, now I can't go back. It does make the model look more realistic. I started by saying to myself, "just draw one line to see how it looks", and then there were two and so on. Thanks to you, poppy and everyone else here on Virtual Aerodrome, this is turning out to be my best result.

Well, now you've done it! You realize you can never go back now, right? The line across the star is a nice touch.

They look great!! I think these make an already really nice model beautiful.

It looks like we have another panel line master:)
julinick, Image # 2817917 Dec 12 19:20

Well DD and poppy, since you both are the masters at panel lines, I had to give it a try. The bottom is finished, will tackle the top tomorrow.

Which is why I don't use it.

It looks like you have nailed the colors. Cameras all play tricks with flash.
julinick, Image # 2816914 Dec 12 22:59

Mr. Wilson, after playing around with the camera, this is pretty close to what the colour should look like without the flash washing it out.

Not tonight.
