Just click on the "How To" section here at VA. Mr. Duckett has posted a very nice tutortial on carving scale props. Should help those in need. |

Okay, I thought that was the finished product. Try making a stencil, gluing it to a sheet of wood, or even laminate it with some basswood. Make the cut-out and then shape the airfoil. The hub that you have on this plastic prop is where the detail comes in. I saw one article on either this site or at Guillow's where someone showed how he did it. If I remember correctly the FW has a nose cone so the hub detail isn't needed. keep it up and try finding some balsa that isn't so soft. Easy to carve means easy to break. |

i got the prop with my parkzone r/c corsair. you can use it to fly on the corsair. it's a little too big for the fw190 |

Briand, this is a very detailed and very nice scale prop. I am not sure what could be done to improve on this. How long did this take to do? The standards on this web are at the point where I am embarrassed to post any pictures. Or at least nothing in focus. I'll start using the camera on my cell phone. What is this intended for? It is not a FW-190. |
