Changed the powerplant from the 7mm 1.7 ohm direct drive to a 6mm 4.5ohm 5.25:1 ratio gearbox. The prop in the picture is a 100x60 mm. It barely kept the aircraft in the air. I switched to a 100x 70 or 80? (doesn't say) for the video. Better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-Bv9zRJctY |

Yes. I could calm it down significantly but I tend to put the highest output motors I can (within reason) in my aircraft. The reason being is that "It's there" if you need it to get yourself out of some not so ideal situations (low altitude stalls, wrong turns etc.). I'm not too sure but I seem to get longer flights using 1/3 throttle for level flight with a hipo motor than running 3/4 throttle with smaller (smaller dia. higher ohm) motor. Although running the bigger motor at full throttle reduces flight time quite a bit. But it sure is fun and exciting. That's the way I like em'. |

Fast little motor scooter! Did you know as you built it that it would be so quick in the air? |

Thanks Brian. Little airplanes make the space seem bigger! I doubled the flight area with this thing compared to the other ones. ;o) |

After some modifications most of the flight idiosyncracies have been ironed out. video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CK09ZdmNYjg&feature=g-all |

Looks like a butterfly, fantastic detail. Makes me nervous looking at the frame. Certainly not the delicate Guillow's style. Very nice! |

Its very fast considering the gear your using. I expected it to fly like a Parkzone Vapor......nice a floaty and slow.
Pretty cool. |

Thanks guys. Jace314, they are mixed as R/L rudder which on a V-tail is actually reversed aileron It acts upon the "Yaw" axis only. Not "Roll". And, as you say, together for elevator. The transmitter has this function. Thankfully. |

Did you mix the channels to serve as right / left aileron, then togther for elevator? |
