A well equipped work space.

You are correct. Extra muffler bearing cutoff switches are stored in the small plastic draw in the upper right corner of the metal parts cabinet, on the left, over the small orange chop saw!

Still think there is a muffler bearing cut-off switch there...SOMEWHERE......

It will melt first. In addition, if you do make and error and need a patch. A patch cut and glued with thin CA disappears when applied.

I see that it is well lighted.

Good information. Each side of Poly-span has a different texture. Can you over shrink Poly-span and cause a warp?
BriandKilby, Comment for image # 2858310 Feb 13 11:49
thanks for clearifying that john.

You can use dope...I use Minwax wood sealer.
BriandKilby, Comment for image # 2858310 Feb 13 11:24
when you mean sealed, do you mean doped?
John M Oshust, Image # 2858310 Feb 13 10:57

When sealed the poly-span is almost transparent. It has a grain so direction is critical .For wings , I run the grain parallel to the LE. Poly-span has a "fuzzy" side and a "shiny" side. Shiny side is always UP.

My little corner of the universe,

so that's how it's done! i guess you could use debonder too, for the finger problem!

Medium sandpaper on the fingers works too.

Thank you. Now it all makes sense.
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 2856210 Feb 13 06:36
Before it is sealed, poly-span is porous. When the CA is streaked on it penetrates and sticks the fabric to the wood. Usually no finger required. You can dope it on also. I have used both methods with equal success.

Is the glue on top of the polyspan or between the wood and polyspan? I can envision my speedy fingers sticking to both the polyspan, the wood and a multitude of words I learned from my 1st SGT.

Fast now is not an option as I am always half fast:)

The secret to keeping your digits from sticking is.......Speed!
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 2856209 Feb 13 17:43
No secret. I shall be stripping glue from the phalanges all evening. A task similar to playing with a large ball of string...mindless play that is time consuming.

What's the secret to keeping your fingers from sticking?
