I built another Guillows P-40, not too happy with my paint job. I built this one with stock wood and no major modifications. Except I did add an extra stringer behind the cockpit. I used the kits tissue and used Guillows covering diagram, haven't used that since I was a kit. It is a great way to cover if you want a wrinkle free job. Everything went well until I airbrushed the green over the brown. I thinned it too much, so the green came out lousy. Also the cockpit framing came out a lighter green, should have also sprayed that brown first then green. Oh well, flying weight is under 30 grams, just have to build another some day. Also I went with the Longhorn P-40 E.

Yes, but they can't come to Houston, it's not coolie 'nuff.

What's that on the port wing? A weight or flap to neutralize propeller torque? Very nice plane!

Not only nice coverings, you get all these birds in the air too!

Bill, I will start a covering service next month. Unfortunately, due to the high cost of doing business. I have to outsource to China.

I've decided. From hnow on, I'll frame mine up, pack em up and send em to Scigs with a blank check for covering. You any good with fabric?
