scigs30, Comment for image # 13541 | 30 Jul 09 17:22 | The structure is the same as the plans except the usual make it fly changes, Nose block, Increase Dihedral, Peck Polymers Wheels, nose button, shaft and prop. If I had it all over to do again, I would open up the last couple of formers. It gets pretty narrow back there for the rubber. |

scigs30, Comment for image # 13541 | 30 Jul 09 11:12 | Won't beleive it, but my wife timed it at 57 seconds, used 3/16 rubber and peck 6 inch prop. The final weight before clay and rubber is 23 grams. I did not use Guillows wood, but I also did not use great wood. I am going to build this again using quality balsa and no structure changes. I think I can get it under 20 grams. Just finished the Guillows Hurricane using contest balsa and she weighs 17 grams. |
