I have several Cleveland kits waiting in the wings. I'm glad to see you building one of them. The P-80 (or F-80 during the Korean War) is such a beautiful plane. This looks really sharp. |

A lot of infill is ahead before the wings can be attached to the fuselage and that has to be done before the intakes can be made. It now weighs 2.1 oz/59 grams. |

The wings are made with three pieces of 1/8" x 1/4"for upper and lower spars and trailing edge plus 1/8" square stock for the leading edge. |

That's typical Cleveland. I have a number of plans, some of which I bought already in the 80s from Ed Packard himself. Note on the Grumman TBF Avenger plan: "Please note that no rubber can be supplied during wartime." |

It's good to see you start building again. I love the paintings but have missed your grand builds. |

Great condition! The 4 printwood pieces with the fuselage formers are slightly warped but that's not a problem. The date on those is 1946 but the "notcher", bottom right, is dated 1952. All the wood is very good and all the sticks are straight and sturdy. Silkspan is included and it's the same lightweight type as in larger Guillows kits. Those are wooden wheels and printed stars and bars and neither will be used. Except for some discoloration on one fold the plan is in perfect condition, as is the box. It's a collector's dream. Hahahahahahahahahahaha |
