| Thanks for the comments, It seems like no matter how much time I spend looking it over I miss something. You are right, the tape is a problem. I have tried different kinds and none do a great job. |

| Shared the same experience with metallic spray paint and masking tape. I cringed when I saw your B-36 all masked off hoping the metallic finish would not get marked up. |

| I hope that you have a room set aside to display that thing. I once knew a fellow who was asked to build one for local airport display case which of course was too small to fit the ginormous thing into. He simply cut the wing 'tween the center and outboard engines and joined it back together just inboard of the jet pods. It's still in the display case and it's still atrocious. |

| You are correct. From the instructions, "Reconnaissance Versions, designated RB-36H's were packed with various cameras and electronics". This one is just a B-36H, from the 7th Bomb Wing at Carswell Air Force Base, Fort Worth, Texas. |

| This is a great plastic kit. I assembled one about 4 years ago, and since it was molded in silver colored plastic, I did not paint the main surfaces. Yours will be a beautiful model ! |

| rayl, I have pics of the work but didn't put it on the website. The paint I am using is Rust-oleum American Accents (also Bonds to Plastic). The white paint for the bottom (flash paint) will be Krylon fusion for plastic. I haven't found quite the right silver paint yet. I have a 1:48 b-29 I will work on after this one. It will also be silver. |

| There's been a lot of work between the box and where you are now. What metallizing paint are you using? I've got two of these monsters still in the box, but never had enough gumption to start them, let alone where to display them. |
