I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

But the right plane. A work of art!

Sorry - in wrong folder!

.....made a start on the 3D effect.

Photo panel! James did that for me. I will now fabricate yokes, throttle and mixture knobs - to give a 3D effect.

Real panel, or photo of the real panel? Looks so good.

rgood, this is an amazing work of art! I could also see the fabricated small instrument light shades on the upper left corners of some of the instruments. Outstanding! The Vernier red colored mixture and circuit breakers along with the carbon monoxide card are great. You've done it all. Hope you took pictures of the build.

I have had great success with Al duct tape. In fact anything I have covered with Al is duct tape.

That tooling aluminium sounds interesting CW! I will look out for that, thanks.

Instead of reading j-to, I read J-Lo. And entirely different thing altogether.

You might want to check out tooling aluminum from an art supply store. A bit thicker, but can easily be cut and shaped to conform. You can also use a pounce wheel to create "rivets". The cowling on my Piper Cub was that material.

Need a condition inspection, call me!

Very nice. I see you have included the customery "muffler bearing cutoff switch"!

Panel is prepared for the Ercoupe.

That's what I ment JATO.
David Duckett, Comment for image # 3652909 Aug 16 05:37
The acronym is JATO.

J-to was that rocket assisted take-off?
rgood, Comment for image # 3652908 Aug 16 23:53
James' Ercoupe (N94805) has rudder pedals - I will try to fit them into my model as this is to be a copy of that aeroplane - it is difficult, sometimes, to draw the line when doing detail work!
Huey V77, Comment for image # 3652908 Aug 16 19:37
Rgood that's looking very nice, you know they used it for j-to testing. Rudder peddles or on ?

I have done a small "test" of using kitchen foil as a covering for balsa - it took quite well and the finish is very near to polished alloy but it is quite prone to damage from finger nails etc - we will see, may have to re-think that one!
