That works. The in flight pictures looked pretty nice. |

Finished repairs and did more flight testing before dark, repairs look good, I can't tell there was any damage. |

Grass not deep! Today I was doing 70 turns on a powerful braided motor, enough to see it transition to a glide and land. Once I feel good about it I will go to 200, then 300, 400 turns. I've only done more than that on a few planes that fly well. My best flier is my Guillows TBF, it's done some amazing flights with about 400 turns. |

mlriley - how long were your trimming flights? how many winds on the rubber - how deep is the grass ? |

I applied some tissue at the wing root, built up the tail wheel, and added a sandable mix to the lower nose which was also damaged in crash. Should be fine. |

I had to stop flying after the pilot misjudged the appraoch and crashed heavily, breaking the wing. Looks like I can just glue it at the root and it will be fine. Tissue still in good shape around the damaged area. |

Still working on the trim but the plane has the potential to be a good flier. |

A humble image, didn't get any good pictures today. |

I did some glide testing in gusty conditions, it seems like it wants to hold a smooth glide. I have a trim tab under the tail right now to compensate for a light nose. If that doesn't work I can add more weight. Still waiting for a good opportunity to go flying. |

French flew it, also Swiss. Later the Finn's re-engined it with Russian power and re-designed the cowling plus adapted German cooling system to add 50 mph to top speed. Finnish version looks like a different plane. |

Nice model. Never sen this plane before. Hope it flies well. |

I'm happy with how it turned out, I spent about 40 hours so far on it. |

I installed a powerful motor, probably too much. |

Wife has the camera, I'll take a decent picture next week. Almost done, just finishing work left. |
