I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

For heywooood: The Revell Germany kits have lots of wonderful details, but the fittings are horrible. So far there have been lots of putty, sanding, more putty and sanding to get the parts to fit. The fuselage halves took some time to get everything aligned, so patience with this kit is a must if you want great success.

This is very fine work..I’ve been wondering about the larger RG kits and their apparent uptick in quality. These images answer some of those questions favorably, thank you for sharing them.

Nice Detail! I love using the airbrush. I found the key is to clean it often, and well mixed, consistent paint. Thin accurately (measure, measure, measure) and filter paint so no blobs. Doesn't take much go fowl up an airbrush. Finally, good regulator/dryer on your air output if you use a compressor. My current brushes are a large Paasche VL3 that I can use for larger work, and an iwata HP-B for fine detail.

I use Tamiya airbrushes, they have lasted for years. I guess I got them around 2010 and I still use them. If you need advice I would gladly help you.

As of right now I am using a cheap airbrush from Mastercraft. I always used brushes, but now learning to use an airbrush. I plan on purchasing a more reliable airbrush after I finish this model. My next model will be the F-14D 1/32 from Tamiya to commemorate the new Top Gun movie that will be coming out this summer

what's your airbrush of choice?

like the Tamiya putty a lot. don't really have to sand it. can use on balsa.

This is a Revell Germany 1/32 P-51D Mustang. Taking a break from balsa model kits while I practicing airbrushing.
