The three of the 11" long kit stringers weigh as much as six of the 18" long stringers that I cut myself. Rather than cut into a fresh balsa sheet, these are cut from the edges of the Dumas sheet wood that was in my Corsair kit. |

The new part is nearly half the weight of the heavy kit part, but is still 50% heavier than the lighter kit part. Goes to show that even Guillow's can have quility wood from time to time. |

The piece in the back weighs 0.4 grams, the one in the front weighs 1.1 grams. And that was after I sanded the sheet for several minutes! I don't have any 1/20" sheet stock but I have some 1/32" that is just about the same thickness. |

All of the sheet wood weighs 3.8 grams. Two sheets were light, one was VERY heavy. |
