Thanks to all of you! I don't know if a Corsair was actually ever painted like this or not. The "M" is a thank you to Steve M who gave me the kit. John O's decals are not on yet, except for the emblem on the rudder which was leftover from the Stearman. |

Wooo! Worth the wait! John O. must have been mailing you decals the other day. Nice to see a less familiar color scheme, now I get to look to see where/when the Marines used gray Corsairs. |

Oh my, What a beauty!! I always wondered what a Corsair would look like in the later Navy/Marines color scheme and now we know. Folks, this is becoming another DD museum model. |

DD, how about camo with ANZAC roundrels? |

Pink it "ain't" and it's really not unusual at all, just not what one would expect on a Corsair. Mini Me is still in the paint shop. |

Pink Spitfires and B-24's also. The color "desert sand" was a pale pink. The B-24 "Strawberry Bitch" at the Air Force Museum in Dayton is painted this color. |

You are right, there were pink P-40's in North Africa in WW2, talk about a trivia question! It's been a while since you posted pictures so I'm thinking you have been holding out on us. :-) |

Uhhhhh noooo. There were actually P-40's in North Africa during the Second World War painted pink. |
