http://www.ebay.com/itm/271395082486?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT This man also has a SIG kit of the FW-190 listed under "see other items". These are both hard to find kits. There is a Cleveland kit on ebay listed for $399 but it's been there awhile and at that price probably will be there longer. As luck would have it I just ordered the plans from Cleveland for the 1/16 size which is what these kits are.

Question for you DD, I'll use this pic for an example. Did you lightly sand the clear plastic area of the canopy where the silkspan is adhered to?

New Zealand seems to be amassing a decent size collection of warbirds.

House of Balsa kits do require a bit of carving and shaping and sanding but I enjoyed building this one. It never did get a prop, Moostang, but it made it to Bismarck, anyway.

You can also use a toothpaste to polish out fine scratches, and thcn apply the Future. Try these web sites for some tips on future floor waxinfo:http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/magazine/2005/09/stuff_eng_tech_canopies.htm http://www.f-15estrikeeagle.com/howto/matt_01/matt_01.htm and:http://www.ndrr.com/rmr_faq/Models/Future-Floor-Wax.htm

Thanks!. What you see as "crazing" is where I sanded it. I do thank you for the tip about Future and I will definitely try it because canopies are a very important consideration for me in choosing a kit.

Thats's just beautiful, David. If that's crazing on the canopy, try Future Floor wax, just dip it in it and let it dry on paper towel and it'll remove the crazing and any fine scratches. It's a miracle liquid. Keep em coming!!
