That's a big controller!Nice plane.I used to fly CL with a Fox 35 back in the 50's. Tried RC a few years ago, but it just didn't take. Good luck.

I only need 4 channels to fly this bird, try to find one of those, HA

tried to fly last fall, batteries no good. got in touch with local RC club and found out 'NO ONE' flies gas planes anymore. they recommend buying a new or refurbished controller. At least 12 channels or more so I can expand in future,

Marlin, take a peek at this big fella. The green and brown is really neat, but in your mind's eye make it beige. I like the dark brown striping as well...

Did this big guy ever fly?

I'm happy with the looks, but its heavy. We will see if four loops of 3/16 rubber will be enough to drive the over sized prop

I think I will fill in the ends of the rudder and elevators with the black esaki after flight tests

thanks DD, we will see how it flys. I am concerned about having to add so much nose weight (64gm) the plans did not indicate where the CG is so I guessed that it should be between the wings. I added a retractable loop hooked to there then balanced to level. A crap shoot at best so time will tell if I built a flier or a lawn dart

The skies are safe, it's what's on the ground that might be at risk. You've done a great job and it certainly looks as if it will fly with that big wing!

tore off landing gear when getting ready to take baby pictures. I can fix that!

All done except minor repair. . .the skies are no longer safe. It weights 261 grams not balanced and 64 more grams to balance it.

Excellent craftsmanship. It should be a nice flyer with the long wing span.

not too windy for outdoor shots

she is starting to get heavy. fuse, tail, motor and prop weigh 5.2 oz. wings add 1.5 oz. each. still need struts and windows. I'm thinking @ 10 ozs. before balancing

wings done
