I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

I just came across your pictures. I'm looking at building a smaller Dumas version (Waco Kit #227 18") of this model as my next build. You are a fantastic builder (and excellent photographer)! How did you do all the pin-stripping? How did you create such fine detail? Are those decals?

Damm good plane...looks real! Nice composition on the photo.

Real thing or a model? Some of these are hard to tell, the weeds in the background give it away.

I just tried it as a gap filler, by mixing it with talc powder, it dries hard but sands pretty easily. I really like it!

SteveM, Try it, you'll be impressed.

I addition to the method sweetwillie described, other methods that I am away of are to use very tiny drops of CA in areas that won't fog the clear areas, or using canopy glue. If you saw someone mention that a special glue was used then it was probably canopy glue. But since Future Floor Wax is supposed to also help hide scratches I might try that method myself.

Skip, I would use CA,But first I would dip the canopy in Future Floor Wax, let it dry for 24 hrs. and then glue it on. If, by some weird chance, it fogs up, dip a Q-tip in ammonia based product such as Windex and it will clear up. Do a Yahoo search for "modeling with Future Floor Wax" and you will get a page full of modelers tips on using Future. Hope this helps.

David is correct, it is the Dumas 35" Waco YMF-5 by Pat Tritle. Available here.

Thank you very much. As I read through the various threads, I take notes on topics that can improve my building skills and after seeing these models all I can say is WOW. Can someone please tell me the preferred glue to use for affixing the canopy to the body? I saw it mentioned but failed to write it down and I cannot find the particular thread. I appreciate it. Again thanks.

They are listed as being Dumas kits.

Are these kits? If so, by whom?

Inspiring! Another one to put on my "to build" list.

Sure is, I had to do a second take before I could decide if it was real or a model.
