Oh man, I've love to come. Charles would love it too. But it's an 8 hour drive by the looks of it. May be tough with a 3 year old!

The AMA EXPO will, once again, be held at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario California on January 10, 11, and 12. I will be there, all three days, at a table in the Black Sheep Squadron area in the Education and Demo Flying room. This is the only place in the EXPO devoted to free-flight models and stick and tissue construction. I will be using my Arrow, built for the 2014 Guillow's "G" Challenge, to demonstrate wet covering technique. Other Black Sheep members will be demonstrating building and covering techniques. The Black Sheep Squadron also runs the free Build-Fly-Take program for the kids with performance enhanced Skystreaks and gliders. There will be frequent mass-launch contests for the kids as well as demo flights by Black Sheep members in the room. Of course, in simply shameless promotion, I will also have stocks of my Cutlass and Buffalo no-cal kits and will be demo flying them. If all goes well, I will also have a couple of flying prototypes of my no-cal-multi models. I'm not promising anything, but I might also have at least a prototype of my P-6E. If you were planning to go to the EXPO or will simply be in the area and have the opportunity I hope to see you there. Howard

Boy, your pilot sure likes to fly close to the walls and ceiling. Really cool video.

The five skins available are Pre-WW3, Pearl Harbor, Marines at Midway, British at Singapore, Dutch East Indies. I have a Finnish Continuation War skin but I don't know if that can be sent internationally.

can't imagine what would place first! and I can't decide what would be more entertaining: vids of the flight or the motor wind-up(s)?! always fun to see these elemental aircraft.

This is the production version of the F2A No-Cal. It is an unhurried 2 hour build using C/A and kicker and applying the skins with Uhu glue stick. This example took about five minutes to trim, needing just a bit of clay and bendint the thrust mount for a tight left turn. 450 turns on a loop of 3/32" rubber had it cruising around under a 23 foot ceilint. 500 turns was too much so 1/16" rubber will be used to reduce the climb and get longer flights.
