The joint smoothed out quite easily. After 3 coats of Thinned dope and a 32 sanding it's time to cover.Got boath top sides done, doped and sanded. Botoms next.

Dry fitting the upper wing. Outside struts are 1/16" bamboo skewers with balsa trailing edges, sanded to shape, filled and doped. Painted to match lozenge pattern on fuse.

Tail feathers installed. The CII used struts between the upper and lower horz stabs, but they were not used on the CIII.
