Tissue on. Stab and rudder pinned down while shrinking to eliminate warps, Wing tissue shrunk with a 1/16 inch wedge under trailing edge of tip rib to build in washout. |

Detail of nose modifications, Front of plastic cowl was cut off by rotating it, on it's back on the board, against an Exacto blade attached to a wooden block of the right height. Cowl front filled with balsa. |

Wing reinforcements are lengths of bamboo barbeque skewers. Wings are lightened, rib holes done with paper punch, trailing edges cut down on inside edges. |

Yes, it does fly. It's not spectacular but has done 19 seconds. Reaction of one person at the field when told it was a Guillow's 500 series Stuka, "Now I've seen it. Pigs can fly!" |
