This are scaled to 1:14 and color photo printed to opaque white Water Slide decal paper. Once you print the decals on the paper, you spay with Acrylic clear to set the ink. Painted the top with OD Green, with dark green along the edges. This was a common camouflage technique at the time. The OD Green is not represented well in these pictures, but is supposed to meet the official OD green spec. When researching this color, it became apparent that none of the paint companies have a good representation of the OD Green that was used in WWII. It also doesn’t help that the USAAF changed the color mix in 1943, but many manufactures used whatever paint they had in stock! Plus, planes were repainted when they were repaired or upgraded.
