SteveM | 11-Jun-08 15:09 | Notice my CA is sealed up and I am using PVA to repair the Tyro. After 3 months of symptoms I have determined I am having similar reactions as Xanadu and John G. |
JohnG. | 11-Jun-08 15:20 | As a subsitute, without the reaction, I have found that LOCTITE Super Glue in the pinpoint control bottle is excellent. I do, however, use it only sparingly. Give it a try. JGJ |
SteveM | 11-Jun-08 15:32 | Will do, but for the next few weeks I will not use any CA of any form till my system has cleared up and I have proven to myself it is in fact CA and not a cold that has been dogging me since March 7th.
The plastic bag also had some empty CA bottles in it. Last night I was taking out the trash before bed so I opened the zip lock bag just long enough to pull out the empties. I woke up about 4 hours later and spent the next 45 minutes or so coughing. |
poppy | 11-Jun-08 20:01 | I have used CA's for years with no problems. As with any glue, a well ventilated area is necessary. I also keep mine in the refrigerator when not being used. |
Xanadu | 11-Jun-08 21:33 | My reactions are not so bad anymore since I make sure I have some air movement pushing the fumes away from me.
I noticed I was hit the worst when I was right over the area I was working on instead of being off to the side. So I make sure I keep my head off to the side when I use CA. |
