David Duckett | 29-Apr-07 10:16 | Awesome! It's great to see you're back in the air!! |
jgood | 29-Apr-07 20:02 | Thanks David. I need to start building again too! |
mattolson | 30-Apr-07 21:28 | Great shot....what's your camera setup? |
jgood | 01-May-07 19:42 | mattolson. I use a Pentax Optio S4, with a prism switch for the remote release. That's an IR remote, which triggers from my transmitter. The camera screws onto an inverted tripod screw on the underside of the fuselage. It's pretty simple which is why it works so well! |
mattolson | 01-May-07 19:59 | Thanks for the info James. I'm cool with the triggering, however, not being too camera savvy, does the movement of the plane causes blurring or does a very fast shutter speed prevent that? Also, do you point the camera from front side or rear? |
jgood | 01-May-07 23:07 | The camera faces to the side, actually, since that offers least drag & obstructions to the lens. You can see a bit of the wing at the top of the frame. I have to have good light (i.e. a bright sunny day) to be able to get fast enough shutter speeds, and acceptable exposures. Take enough snaps, and some will come out half decent! Here's a pic of the camera on the aircraft.
