Barnstormer....I would not call Uncle Carlo GRET, but satisfactory. Every time I see your screen name I think of the movie "Second Hand Lion." Are you familiar with this film? |

Looking Great John, Is that a glass of Carlo in the foreground? Nuttin like being confined to quarters during an ice storm, working on a great model and enjoying a good beverage. I dont think it can get any better than that. |

![](/user_aircraft_images/5299.jpg) Ice storm here today confined to quarters. The Barrel is starting to look like a plane. I ran out of supplies, wood, that is. Seems my suppliers have sent all wood to Arizona. I am now forced to make a radial engine! |

My observant friends...I was surprised to see that no one noticed that the Barrel gave birth to a tiny Mig-3. Usually things like this are noted. |

![](/user_aircraft_images/5293.jpg) I had to see how the "BARREL" looked with a wing! |

![](/user_aircraft_images/5292.jpg) Blocks on the firewall were also added to hold the cowl. The kit cowl is iffy...I may have to make a replacement. |

![](/user_aircraft_images/5291.jpg) While the wing dryed...work on the fuse. Tail block, tail wheel, body work on the marrage, and a second coat of primer. |

![](/user_aircraft_images/5290.jpg) Wing construction begins. Laser cut kits rule... the basic structure went together in a snap. Of Course as DD mandates, extra wing stringers were installed. |

The Guillow's forum has exceeded the maximum number of SQL database requests allowed in one hour. I thought the error would go away after an hour, but it has not.
I already emailed Mark to let him know of the outage (and a possible fix). You can reach him at msgboard@guillow.com if you feel the need. |

Thank you very very much. The strange thing is that if I knew a few days ago what I know now, the grear could have folded. I guess save it for the next Golden Age Biplane! |
