This is my largest plane to date, with the smallest scale...1/24. I started this colltion of junk today. I submitt it to the board for review. At this stage I was reluctant to go with it! |

Looks good to me. How do you do it? If I had of wound that string on there by hand, it wouldn't be nearly as uniform. I guess that's why I can't even sand a corner that is square, it's always rounded off. My hats off to you. |

27 cylinders made from purchased fittings will boost the price close to the price of the original plane. Unless I find free fitting, unlikly, I hope to make cylinders from dowels. |

As poppy discovered, the plans do not always match the real plane. I have been looking at the nose and not liking it. As I am wiritng the instructions, I am revising the Striesand a bit more to reality |

John, what makes this even more inspirational is you are doing this from a sheet self induced instructions. Great stuff!! |

I thought oysters were the only approved supporting devices. |

I pray that my old eyes and fingers will let me do half as well as you John. I marvel at the craftsmanship! |

I meant quandary....the word was cut. Thanks. I originally planned on turning them out of AL but opted for a stickball bat to save work considering the time I will spend making 3 radial triplets! |

WOW John, those engine nacelle mounts are very impressive. |

Misty was also thrilled. He awoke to watch the nacelle manufacture and installation. |

JG...you have been asking about the brand of masking...here it is. This lady will not have wheels or floats....a plane destined for the S. Pole needs SKIS! |
