I just found out that the baking pan I cut for skis was the "WUFFIES!" OUCH! |

Tail ski tomorrow. I have corrugated styrene on order to build the wings. After the tail ski I guess I can paint the fuse. |

I guess this lady has her "legs". When I started them tonight I did not have the foggiest idea of how to build these, only a small photo in the owner's manual. |

Thank guys, as I thought the second ski installed in about a half hour. |

Look thru my photos of the Sopwith Camel, for her I made turnbuckles. |

I'll bet I wish I could see them better, I'd like to try to build something like that for my F4B, but more in the manner of a turn-buckle. |

No big deal the cranks are Al roof flashing, the guides Al tubing and music wire brackets. After the nacelles and engines this work is just a "walk in the park!" |

Good day for skis....snow flurries here. |

The skis came from an old Al baking pan. Al and balsa laminate |

Two skis fabricated but, thus far, only one installed. |

Clever, I would never have thought of doing it, but, seeing this gives me an idea. Stay tuned. |

John, they're beautiful. How did you make them? |

I spent a couple of three hours making the control cranks for the tail and cable guides for the fuse. Now fabricating a pair of skis. |

I guess when Byrd flew this bird to the S. Pole he did not worry about ice or freezing of all of the exposed controls and cables. |
