I didn't have enough hand to keep this in place so I held it in place and then wedged the glue area open and drooled in the glue...and pulled out the wedged and it all stayed in place. hee hee |

I made the spinners on the lathe... the red stripes are from Tailight tape !! Don't ask |

A little heat and some weights fixed the problem |

That will definitely add time to the schedule. How did the bend in the wing turn out?

I finished all the tissue and decided I was ahead of schedule..this is supposed to take me into winter ,So I decided to go with Spackle . Don;t know how many coats it will take but That's what it's all about. |

OOPS !!! I have all the tissue on and shrunk up...decided to use elmers and alcahol mix. I couldn't find denatured alcohol, so I bought isopropal (?) Wasn't sure how it would do so I mixes a small amount of equal parts as instructed. The mixture turned into a GEL as I stirred and kept getting thicker as I mixed. YIKES Then I went back to elmers and water and got the first coat on and am watching the tissue shrink back again. Glad I tried a small mix the first time.. |

A little bit of cutting to show off the control panels and then on to the tissue. ( I can't get up the courage to do the wood....! |

They look fine and no warps. That's even better. |

I was not happy with the plans of the tail section so I wet solid. Started with balsa and felt more satisfied with basswood. |

still need a funny caption ...! |

Poke around in some different hangars. There are several builds that use balsa. From what I see here, you're doing just fine. |

not sure,Don.. I need to build a little more confidence before trying the wood finish. Who knows where to get some good instructions on this?? I think the 1/32 sheets would be the way to go |
