Anyone want to buy a 3/4 size Nieuport Scout. Use this address which will take to a NZ Auction site. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=278348332

Olive Drab fades quickly in the sun. I mix white or light gray with Olive drab to lighten.

Thanks gentlemen. Upon more researching I believe that Jerk's was originally painted Olive Drab. The 93rd spent a lot of time based in Libya so maybe there is two possibilities for the above colour: 1. I'm wondering if a Sand colour was sprayed over top of the Olive Drab giving the above appearance after wear and tear. 2. Could this just be wear and tear on the olive drab and the exposure to the dessert sun and sand? I have watched a 8mm film of a B 24 crew "Lucky" which shows Olive Drab in some shots and this browny colour in other shots. Obviously due to different light conditions.

To be a bit more specific...olive drab has a brown component which the top plane is lacking as it's almost a pure green in comparison.

The top one just doesn't look right. It looks good, just not right. The Jeep doesn't look that faded but does look like it's painted olive drab and the plane is more towards brown. The blue in the insignia is faded but the yellows in the numbers and letter on the tail as well as the flowers still looks good.

HELP!!! The top is the colours suggested by Guillows for "Jerks Natural" and below is photo of subject. Is this pic just faded or are the suggested clours wrong? I note that the jeep does not look any shade of green either. Could this be a clue? Someone please set my mind at ease as I have already painted all the window frames etc in Olive Drab.

Would love to visit that place, Stirling. The first time I saw some videos from the days that they get a whole load of them in the air at once, I was convinced it was computer generated. An amazing place. I'm sure they are radial, as opposed to rotary engines, right?

Looks like I'm going to have to pay them a visit Gary. Can the public get access or do you have to cough up a kidney to get in ?
