| A builder on the Guillows site defined it like this. If you build from plans, it's plan building. If you draw and build from your own plans, it's scratch building. "Scratch" on this site could mean anything from opening the box to removing laser cut parts to stirring paint. |

| Thanks. Just screwed up the canopy and I am out of plastic for molding, so...
James, I could use a definition on scratch built, please. I am not use the Comet kit, just copied the plans, like the D. Diels C-46. On the other hand, who cares, it's a fun build. |

The kit is still as you sent it. I just copied everything and built from scratch, so it is available for someone else if you are interested. |

| Yes, they look great! I should point out though that panel lines go through the insignia, too, as it is a painted surface just like the rest of the plane. |

| I would not have guessed that this is a Comet kit had I not been in at the beginning of the project; my hearty compliments on the build. You and DD seem to real good at panel lines, but I won't go there:). |
