moos...In my limited experience I agree. Acrylics rule, plus easy clean up. Look carefully on the left wing, at the dihedral break....needs tweeking!

John, it never stops. What you see versus what someone else "might" see will drive you crazy. What ticked me off was that after allowing the chrome finish on the Trojan to dry for 72 hours, finger prints and shadows would appear after handling. I redid it in Tamiya Acrylics Dark Yellow. No more enamels for Moostang!!!

Even though I worked outside my eyes cannot see imperfections until after a coat of primer. We are 235 hrs into this bird.

pb...Yes the Mig has come a long way...thanks. If my eyes would only work better. As hard as I tried, methinks another bout of filler, sanding, and primer will be needed.

poppy, glad to see you are home. jedi, think twice about scatching. Kits afford a lot of scratch build W/O extra challenges. JohnG yes the creature has emerged!

Looking great!! This was one mean looking fighter.

epoxy from top to bottom in the joint. Gravity did the work!
John M Oshust, Image # 442411 Sep 07 22:22

Now the final detailing and finishing...Oh yes...the prop and spinner!

The yard stick provides scale...we are happy, we have wings!
John M Oshust, Image # 442211 Sep 07 22:18

My aerial jig. I tacked the wings and dihedral in place with CA and shims for the dihedral. CA alone would not hold the weight horizontally. The wing pegs and glue held the angle perfectly if vertical. I hung the Mig then allowed gravity to drizzle ep

James, thank you, working on the wings today. I hope to mount them this evening.

Looks great John. Very realistic indeed.

John, suspect if you were piloting, you would generate enough "hot air" to eliminate the frost. Great work.
