The engine nacelles are sanded and doped. The fit of the cowlings is snug and takes a bit of work for a trial fitting. The airscoops must be cut out.

The major components are ready for sanding and doping. The Dumas lazer parts fit well and construction went smoothly.

The Marauder is temp. tacded together for a look see. with a 30 inch wing span it's big, the biggest thing I've built.

The Dumas B 26 Marauder is designed for rubber power. It is comparable to the Guillows B 25 in size and scale which is what decided me to build it. The hands are far from "movin' and groovin'". The big cast is off and wrist brace is on, but the little finger is still asleep and the nerve has not yet begun coming back yet.

Looks like those hands are movin' and groovin'. I can't wait to see this one. The B-26 is one of my favorites.

Jerry, looks like a nice sized kit. Is it designed for rubber power?

If I tried this I would soon be "Nine Fingered Johnny!" I cut a lot of extra notches for the Mig but did not care how they looked because I cannot see through aluminum and thin basswood.

I also use the dremel but rather than a staight cutter as you are using, I use the small metal disc cutter. I lay out the lines for the stringers and the touch the disc on both sides of the line. Perfect square cornered cut. I use the lowest speed and with the torque from the dremel if it should grab, you leave the former rather than going further in and creating a larger or deeper cut. I first used the same cutter as you but found the disc to be better.

great deal of time and energy.

Since I don't plan to fly the Marauder I decided to follow DD in adding extra stringers. However, rather than cut each notch with a knife or razor blade I decided to purchase and use a Dremel tool to notch with. I works great, notching quickly, saving a g

The laser cut parts glue together easily and quckly. I would recomend using fine marking pen to label each part before removing them from their respective sheet. I labeled all parts before starting to build.

One of the things that interested me the most about the Dumas Maurauder was that with a 30 inch wing span, it was almost exactly the same scale as the Guillows B-25 (1/32) -- and was laser cut. The kit comes with two huge plans sheets, six pages of instructions and two pages of materials list which includes diagrams of the parts. Two sheets of white vacum, one sheet of clear (blue)vacum parts. Plenty of strip stock, peel and stick decals (easily replaced for variation in 1/32 scale), plastic wheels and props. It should a very interesting build. My arm splints come off tomorrow and I have high hopes.
