This is looking sweeeet John. The scratch build is something that I look forward to doing someday, i just need to hone my skills alittle more. You make this look easy, but we all know this is no cake walk. |

Tops of wings covered, stab fabricated.... a good day. Barnstormer....Gumby is on Pokey, another nickname for the Rat is a Mule....close enough to a donkey! |

Almost as much fun as the build is doing the research on it. |

You would let 'THAT' guy in your airplane? You're braver than I. He looks a little 'green" to have his wings. |

John, I love your humor. If I'm having a bad day, I just look at some of your posts, and come away smiling. Thank you. |

John O. is the master of scratch-building the unusual. And he does them so very well. This is the way the museum and movie guys do it and his are right there with some of the best I've seen. I've only done a few scratch builds so I can really appreciate what it takes. Kudo's X 3 Sir John. |

This scratch build would have me scratching the noggin. Keep at it. That is shaping up great. |

You'll figure it out, John, as they say,"Ain't no step for a stepper!" |

John, I think this is going to be your best build, so far. And that's saying a lot! |

The clamps hold to wings to their roots. They appear to eyeball up just fine for a display model. The plans gave no clue as to how the wings should be mounted. |

The wing roots has been cut from the wings and permanently attached. Really winging it! Remember no precut parts or step by step instructions. God I need a simple kit again! |

Reminds me of a large mouth I hooked when fishing the Everglades back in '73. Took a free spooling bluegill. |
