Yes large she will be, as large as the Guillows B-24 in span. Just an exercise in large planes down the road!

I think I'll keep looking for plastic or use my MicroLite.

What a behemouth!

1/8 ply wood circle cut on a jig saw, then I laminated 6 or 8 layers of balsa scrape on the top. After the glue dried, I filed and sanded it into shape. The best is the lavender scent of the filler...reminds me of Paris!

John, you still haven't told us how you made the cowl!

I constructed the left wing today. It must be sanded and shaped. Then both wings will be amputated to wing roots for mounting.

Best 10 dollars I have ever spent. A 13 inch prop that needs to be shaped and a set of mammary 3 inch wheels!

I swapped a NY Yankee cap for it in Moscow, a few years back.

I like the cap!

alright John, give it up. How did you do it? Or I'll send my ex mother-in-law, the meanest woman who ever lived. She'd make your serpent tongued mother-in-law seem like a girl scout.

ROFL

Now that the cowl ring problem is solved looks like I must construct another wing tomorrow.

While it looks like Micro fill this is home brew. Elmer's, lavender sented talc and a bit of water. Very fragarent, makes the Rat smell like a French brothel!

Introducing a 63/4 inch, wooden laminate, hand carved, cowl ring.

Though I love building radials, I get a break on the Rat. As you can see the vents, which can open or close, hide the engine.

DD...Never visit NJ in any season as it is a good place to be from!

HMMMMM. Looks like a Ukie Commander I am hoping you don't have a little kids living next door!

Hey, John, what's that white stuff and that strange looking instrument in your hand? I sure like your outfit. I planted strawberries yesterday, and I didn't have to shovel any white stuff to get to the ground. Sorry about that, Well not really. Stay warm.

DD...Greetings from tropical NJ, I love the red and black on your D8

John, you're going to have cut down another tree to get enough wood for that beast. Lookin' good.
