The wing looks backwards. Intentional or uh oh? |

Ready to fly at the park tomorrow if I can get there before the rain does. Weight is 91.7 grams, 30 grams heavier than on rubber power. |

KP-01 motor is retained with three 2-56 nylon screws. The holes were drilled and taped, a little thin CA wicked into the wood, then taped again. |

3x110 mAh NiCd and 5 amp fuse (goes into the yellow socket) acts as a switch. Fuselage also had 4" cut off of the front. |

High flight! Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds---- |

These flights are all done with hand winding as the winder broke and CA wouldn't hold it together. I managed to get some 15-20 second flights and then decided my poor wrist and finger were tired of winding and it was time for electric FF conversion. |

Went to the park today and tried the One Nite 28 with rubber powered FF. |

Yes it is, I was afraid I might have to send them this one before I could get the replacement. Their good reputation is probably well deserved and hard earned. |

That's good service... |

I just heard back from Castle Creations support. If I attempt to repair this myself I will void the warranty. They are sending me a new one and a prepaid mailer to return the defective one in. |

I have been weighing my battery options. The KP-01 motor needs 3.6 volts while the RC receiver will need 4.8-6 volts. The LiPo is 4.4g, NiCd pack is 24.8 g, and NiMh pack is 34.1g. I either need to use two battery packs build a regulator for the motor. |

Made in China? Nope, soldered right here in the USA with pride and not quite enough solder (note the orange wire). It's a Pixie-7P that I was going to use to provide some sort of motor control when I convert the One Nite 28 to electric RC. |

If I ever catch them in my garden, I'll have roast venison! Yum! |

Beautiful! If these were growing in my yard, the deer would've eaten them already. |

Crocuses are the other sign that spring is on the way, these were right next to the daffodils. |

I haven't seen any of these for awhile and they are gorgeous. |

Ready for rubber powered FF. Final weight is 64 grams but landing wheel can be removed to save 2.5 grams. This is kit tissue covered with crystal clear. |

The longest were around 30 seconds. I have a feeling they could have been longer had I not been fighting a breeze. Sometimes it would face into the wind and just sit there, not moving forward. |

How long are flights timewise? |
