I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Beautiful work Bill, very clean!

I used the same technique on my Jug. Constantly re pinning on the plan along the curve. Good job!

4 more cross members, top and bottom to go. This ain't Guillow's... The curvature of the top and bottm longerons precluded pinning the entire structure down to the plan, so I measure and cut. Anybuddy see anything glaringly wrong? And Poppy, you're right. This is the Comet kit that you remember with the 54" wingspan. It's a beast, right out of the box. It's teaching me a whole lot of humility. I just thought I was smart, building all these big planes...

From memory, I think this Comet kit had one of their longest wingspans. I built this kit as a kid because it was soo big. Nice framing!

Fortunately, I realized that I had failed to build the doors on the sides yet. I looked at another forum where the guys are building this kit for electric power, and discovered that building the doors as the plan indicates is a fools errand at best, so I modified them and installed the window "glass." Next I'll do exactly as you recommend, pin it to the plan again and start adding the cross members... I also learned that I need to add a reinforcing longeron to that single dude that sticks out on the front end, as it'll break the first time I touch it without...

Bill if thee are still in a quandry, look at the framing from my Waco methinks it is very similar.

Looks similar to the frame construction on my Jug. Seems you have a left and a right pin them to the overhead view and make cross members. Look at the Jug framing photos.

I have no idea how to stick this fuse together... I'll go stare at the plans until it comes to me...
