Excellent engineering work. This is the kind of build that takes tons of thinking before actually performing the work. |

Tis beautiful. |

Looks like a perfect fit. You should be able to make the weight limit. A lot might depend on type covering and paint. |

Weight so far for fuse, motor, le rhone, lipo is 13oz. Recommended weight is 30-35oz. |

Everything is coming along nicely. Cowl will be detachable. |

Actually ive just weighed it and the cowl weighs 1.6 oz |

Not sure of the weight James but its aluminium and it is quite light. The build that inspired me was this link http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7861264/anchors_7861264/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#7861264 he used a stainless steel coffee pot for his. the cowl was purchased from http://www.dbsportandscale.com/ for a pup of the same scale. |

Tony, what's the weight of the cowl? It looks lovely, but will it be light enough to fly? |

what a shame to cover that beautiful LeRhone engine |

Looks like you have gotten a handle on the motor. Looking forward to see your installation of all RC components. Maybe someday I will give it a go! |

gearbox offset the engine whereas i wanted to use a brushless motor so that i could centre the engine in a scaled le rhone rotary. Few, I hope ive done it right. This is my first RC build and theres a lot to learn!!! |

I had to modify it because the motor mount took into account that the |

Build is going well so far. Had to make a few modifications as plans were for a brushed motor with a gearbox |

Had an accident with the cowl it flew off the lathe and bounced around around the room and it looked like a right off. But my engineer friend (Danny) had a look at it and it now looks better than the original. |

Engine complete apart from a few touch ups. Cowl was purchased from a different supplier so needed 14mm taking off. |
