I am impressed with this metallic paint. It changed the walnut into aluminum...only two coats. Oil based made by rustoleum...name, what else, "metallic!" |

This looks absolutely awesome John!!! You have inspired me to try a scratchbuild job, I am just downloading some plans for a Blenheim bomber in 1/32 scale. This is another masterpiece indeed, well done. |

I had a horrible time with the yellow covering the gray primer on my ME-109. DD suggested I first start with a mix of white and yellow then proceed with the color coats of yellow. It worked quite well, but you may have enough yellow on there already that it is just as fast and easy to keep adding yellow. |

Yellow is a tough color. I have lost count of the # of coats. When done the plan is th run a fine paint maker along the color borders. I free handed the paint. |

The long, slow and exacting paint process has begun. |

Thanks....The more I look at it the more it needs to eventually be painted. A shame to cover the walnut but.... |

There is a full sized replica of the GeeBee R-2 built by Delmar Benjamin, flying the show circuits. He'll do inverted flights just a few feet off the ground, high speed passes, etc. Yep, like a bumble bee, this thing looks like it should waddle, not fly. But it is amazing to see in the air. |

I still cannot believe that the real one flew! |

The plan...spritz the fuse yellow and then brush on the black scallops. |

Me thinks tomorrow the "Z" will get some color! |
