I only use pre shrinking when covering with Esaki tissue. The only benifit to pre shrinking is that it prevents warps.

Hello scigs30. Beautiful work. I've read a little about the "Pre-shrinking" of tissue. What are the benefits if I may inquire? And is the tissue double-stick taped to the frame? Great idea. Phil.

Some basic tools for covering. Elmers and water to attatch tissue. Surgical blades. Picture frame to pre shrink the tissue. Aerogloss Dope for sealing the tissue.

After my glue stick fiasco, I took off all the covering and re applied with 50/50 Elmers and Water. I then brushed two coats of Aerogloss Dope.

Well I tried using a glue stick for the first time, and the covering did not come out very good. It lifted and wrinkled pretty bad so I removed all the covering and started over using my traditional method of 50/50 Elmers and water. Now the covering is without wrinkles.
