1/25th is "very close" to 1/24th. At least close enough for the decals to work "very close" to perfectly.

The radio and base are provided in paper cut outs which I used as patterns to make them out of wood. The wood headrest is painted red brown.

With a little work the belly cooler should look good.

The distinctive undeer fuselage oil cooler is in two vacu pieces. I added a balsa former just behind the intake for strength.

With a 17.5 inch span, it's closer to 1/25th scale, is it not?

I added balsa filler in several strategic placed on the fuselage for strength. The cowling is vacu formed and requires some filling for smooth fit.

The decals by CAM I bought from a mail order house provide markings for James Howard's DING HAO! in 1/24th scale. Howard shot down six Japanese a/c while with the Flying Tigers and Six German a/c in DING HAO!

From the internet I printed my aircraft color reference which I taped to the wall next to my build table.

A four page instruction booklet is included.

The Dumas P-51B is very close to 1/72 scale which will allow me to use after market decals. I cut the top of the box off so I could use the box as a parts tray. The one page plans are excellent with numerous thumb nail drawings to help the builder.
