Jim, DD has a 1/32 Wildcat engine he has offered me. Could you post a pic of yours? Much appreciated offer. Thanks. |

Poppy I have a couple of Williams Bros. radial engines in 1/32 scale. 1/35 aircraft parts are not too common. If you like, I can send you one of the engines. It may need mods to match the Stearman, but it is a good starting point.

My bad!!!! It was the Sherman that was powered by a nine-cylinder radial! :O |

Poppy, I think there's a resin kit of an air-cooled Continental radial engine. It was meant for the Stuart light tank. 1/35th scale. |

If you can't find stainless, look for music or piano wire. I used different guages on my Camel. |

I used fine stainless steel wire. Can buy at local hobby shop in 24" lengths. |

I did build as action model but did not cut out. Looks better covered over and outlined w/india ink. |

Engine modified w/balsa, rubber tube & fine phone wire. It actually ended up w/65 parts. |

Extra ribs cut for wings and tail feathers to duplicate full scale. Flying wires are stainless steel. Covered w/Monocote. |
