DD, have fun with this one. Of all my builds, I am most partial to this one. In the small town I lived in as a youngster a gentleman had one of these painted all white with blue trim. For keeping the oil stains cleaned from the fuselage, he would give me rides on the weekends. I've never forgotten the thrill of riding in the open cockpit and listening to the wind make the wires sing. So be assured your usual beautiful craftsmanship will be much appreciated by Mrs. Clark.

I would pay that to get a ride in a bomber at the Wings of Freedom tour.......... My grandfather was with a Lancaster.

I learned that Ed Clark was building one of these. Yikes! I'm going up to pick it up Tuesday and will give it back to his Wife when it's done. Ed would have been 73 this month.

I was getting too old and stiff to do the crawl through, my neice said it was sort of close to squeeze through.

Two years ago the B-17, and the B-24 were here, last year they were joined by the B-25, at Laconia NH, airport. It was beautiful to see the B-17 coming in at the end of the runway and toutching down.

The Wings of Freedom tour with a B-17, a B-24, a B-25, and possibly a P-51 will be at the local airport next weekend. 30 minute flights in the bombers cost between $325 and $425 per person. Walk through tours are $10.

Poppy, my first fight into the blue sky, was in one of these when I was 17. It had sponsons and took off from the water. It cost me 15 dollars for a 30 minute ride.

http://www.williamsbrothersmodelproducts.com/. Sorry, I am still learning how to post images. Go to their site. In the R/C products they have pictures of scale engines, crank cases, cylinders, pilots, etc.

Be happy to. This is from the Williams Bros website . The main difference is the Wildcat engine is a twin 14 cylinder (two rows of 7) while the other radials are single role 9 cylinders. I/Users/station3/Desktop/prattwhitney.jpg
