Josey Wales. It's OK, "typos are allowed". Yuk, yuk, yuk.

Like the Indian Chief in "Josey Whales" said: "Endeavor to Persevere".

Tail construction
Anders, Image # 3372501 Apr 15 14:42

I used the left half to trace all parts and construct a plan. not even one rib from the right side could be used. and the prosess of dismantling the left side was time consuming and not that fun.

this was the wing after removing the covering film

Yes this is taken on our club`s airstrip 5 minutes from my house. And i live in TAU, 35 minutes with a ferry from Stavanger. I got about 4 fuel tanks out of this bird before the crash. But wings are under construction and soon it will fly again :) currently working on the retracting u/c

What Don C said. I got really tired of putting hours of labor into a garbage bag for the return trip. It WAS a nice looking '109.

That's a shame, Anders. Most of the ones I flew as a kid ended up looking just like that. Where is this area from Stavanger?

I crashed one time into a swamp.
David Duckett, Comment for image # 3372101 Apr 15 07:54
Well, that sucks! Thanks for the photo of you, too:-)

Wingspan is 1,2 meters or 47,2 inches. It dropped vertically about 6 feet and hit a rock during a low pass.

A hard landing to be sure! Ouch!
BriandKilby, Comment for image # 3372101 Apr 15 07:20

Crash site
Anders, Image # 3372001 Apr 15 06:25

This is what it looked like before the crash. It comes as an pre built ARF intended for eletric power. But i added wheels and installed an OS 46 Fuel engine.

Ripmax Bf 109 restoration. crashed this one last year. This picture is taken a long way into the restoration progress. New main wings, and new tail.

It's basically how Norway is if you are out of the cities. This is our club's airstrip which is in a place called Kvam, an 1 hour and 15 minutes long trip away from Stavanger. There are hundreds of mountains to fly sailplanes on and in the winter we fly on the ice. If you think this is gorgeous surrondings you should try flying a sailplane on one of the mountains nearby in a sunny day, that's what i live for.(my time record for most flying time without landing is 6 hours).
