What exactly is the price of contest grade balsa up in Manitoba, hmmm? Good luck. I would foresee one dilemna being the thickness of the stab and rudder because the blowup for the wing formers would already be taken into acct with the enlargement. BTW, what is the new blow up scale equivalent to now? My Top Flite Spit is 1/7, this seems a little larger.

Me thinks you are going to be milling a lot of lumber!

Looks like you're going to need lots of wood!

The tiles are 7" squares you can use as a size referance.

I love this part of the process - just when your aircraft begins to take shape :D

DecoArt Acrylic Navy Blue from a craft store. No display only this time. I plan on building a rc spitfire, but not yet.

Looking good! What kind of paint is this? Is this a flying model?

That's one pretty Spitfire! I'm looking forward to seeing it finished.

Here is the actual plane I am painting my Spitfire after, or at least trying to anyways.

Oooohhhh.......never even thought about making a Royal Nay version........ Have to check into paint schemes.

Looks good! The beauty of a Spitfire is that it was, and is, painted in many different colors. I built this one several years ago and painted it in browns. You could paint it blue and make it a Royal Navy version and I've also seen it in just soft greens.

Most likely the 2-3 shades of green, olive drab, etc. Not sure yet, I am still looking around for ideas. Have any?

I have to build this one... Isn't the Spit such a great shape? What colours are you going to paint it?
