This is looking great so far; looking forward to the finished product but enjoying seeing the build. |

FYI, this is the pattern I was trying to follow. |

That, in itself, is a great achievement....Bravo! |

Painted after wing was covered, light silkspan used. No pattern used other than visually trying to follow the pattern from the internet. |

Did yee outline the pattern first? You painted after the wing was covered or before? |
poppy, Comment for image # 23615 | 23 Sep 11 17:11 |
A base coat of light Tan, then Lilac, Purple, Green, and Blue. First color is applied, spacing it out as you go, then on to the next color, and so on. Leave some space for the Tan to show. There are patterns available to print out on the net under "lozenze camouflage" but they are hard to follow, at least for me. So I just winged it. I need DD's artistic ability. |

Me thinks your effort is very noteworthy......works for me....quite a lot of work. I always wanted to attempt this....details of how you did it maybe yes??? |

To the experts, my attemp at lozenze camo sucks. But it has to do for this bird. |

He flew the prototype and his recommendations led to the production version. The prototype started with the tailfeathers of the DRI which caused instability problems. He never flew the VII in combat. |

poppy, did richthofen ever fly the DVII, did it come out before his death? |
