Using a crochet needle, i put a trough in the stringer to sink the gear wire flush.

The DVII's under wing panels were tapered towards the tips. The kit did not have tis so I clamped the outer panel ribs together and tapered with a sanding block.

I get the dials from the hobby supply. They are made by J-Tec and come in sizes 1/12 to 1/3 scale. I usually purchase the 1/8 scale and size to fit on my printer. The single sheet has all the instruments from WW1 and 11 as well as modern, even some boat dials. You should be able to order from your hobby supplier.
