Left side of the Argus completed. Note: Crankcase, fuel pump, and water pump omitted as they will not be visible when engine is installed.

Rough fit not too bad.

The beginning of an Argus AS III aero-plane engine.

This will eventually work OK.....however full completion is away down the road.

I covered the wood with poly-span and applied sealer. Cut open the pit and fitted combing. Ordered the drapes and flooring.

Not a whale but a humped smelt!

No sir...some will be covered with poly-span. 36"span. I made a framing error. No mention of a bend in either the instructions or the plans. Corrected the problem with a more robust Katrina

Will the entire fuselage be covered with wood?

Weird fuse shape...kinda like a pregnant whale on it's back. What is the wingspan???
John M Oshust, Image # 2444327 Dec 11 16:31

Fuse progress right.
John M Oshust, Image # 2444227 Dec 11 16:30

Fuse progress...left.

THe oil rig is now part of the fuse skeleton.

The start of the interior design. The color of the drapery is always a hard call!

Where are the pipes? It looks like an old time oil derrick.
John M Oshust, Image # 2442625 Dec 11 19:41

Looking more like an oil rig, Katrina's fuselage begins to emerge.
