Left wing completed and test fit to the fuselage. Some infill needed on bottom of right wing before completion.

It makes sense now thanks!

Thanks Kayakvet. That is former #24. I added that former in there but for my application I don't think it was really needed. I chopped off the bottoms from former #6-#12 to have a "traditional" flat bottom as seen on most Lancasters. Between that former# 24 and the bottom of #6, a carved balsa block would be added which is the front of the bomb bay doors. David's thread has a great shot of it.

Love your and Dave's builds. I'm doing this model without a plan :(. My wings are together nicely. This pic just threw me, what former # is between 5 & 6? In other pics it hardly seems needed. Wish me luck! Bruce

A sky full of Lancaster's, B-29's, B-17's and B-24's is called " Judgement Day". :)

4 p-51's flying within inches of each other! the beauty and the terror of it ... imagine the sky filled with these... and flying in anger

Looking forward to seeing your build. I enjoy watching these big birds come to life on here. I would love to build one as well but don't have the room to keep one :(

Here is a great photo of the paint scheme that I'll try to accomplish.
