Hamster hides! Love it. The fact that hides would lay nicely on the surface makes sense. I need to go to the Britmodeller.com forum and start the debate. Theses guys will discuss anything spitfire such as the color of the inner wheel wells. Another, was the camo color sprayed or hand painted. Very entertaining. |

I read somewhere, in one of my aircraft history books, that to achieve the camouflage on full size Spitfires, horse hides were cut to shape and laid on the wings and fuselages. Maybe in this scale hamster hides would be appropriate. |

Looking good! Amazing what you have done with the 500 series Spit. I would have chosen the 400 series for this kind of detail, which makes yours to me all the more fantastic! |
