I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

It's not a question of difficulty, per se, the scale is totally off. The fuselage looks more like a Corsair! The Guillows kit is far closer to scale and much easier to handle.

Thanks for your kind offer but my experience so far with two Cleveland plans have not been good. I try to work in 1/24th scale and I find the Guillows kit more than adequate. Someone else on VA might be more of a glutton for punishment.

Jerry: I've decided that the Cleveland plans are way more than I care to get involved with and the scale is larger that you might want to build but you are certainly welcome to the plans for your collection of all things FW_190. Simply provide a mailing address.:-)

Trimming and constant back and forth checking took some time. Working slowly is a must.

Mike suggest using vacu candy containers and while this will work with lot of effort I found that the K&S clear plastic available from Micro Mark to be the easiest to use. I found the .015 to work well.

After ruining three moldings I had to back to Mike's instructions and rebuilding the male moId I finally got a good canopy. It was also a big job to trim it to fit. I wish Guillows would provide a proper canopy and save a lot of work. Fitting it just right will be another chore.

I used to do it this way and also found a lot of fill necessary. Trial and error!

I glued the stringers and ribs. Next time I use Poppy's method of just gluing the front and trailing edges and the end ribs. Great to learn more than one thing every day.

*accurately :-)

The book contains over a hundred color renderings of Fw 190 from the A-2 to the Ta 152C. Thes pages drive me crazy because I want to build so many of them. Only my wife of 46 years is loved more.

My A-3 build is at the bottom.

Accurate colors are very important and there is a wealth of excellent reference available. The series available from Amazon.

The Russians have pirated without paying authors or publishers many books, color art, and drawings often usually without even mentioning the mame of the author or artist. Be careful. I believe these are original drawing but I'm not sure. I blew them up to 1/24th scale and used them for redoing the tail.

Drawings and photos of the cockpit can be very useful.
jerry campbell, Image # 3151926 Apr 14 12:34

The four view drawings are important to build accuratly.
